ROI Media recently chose ESP Computer Services to fulfill its newly launched magazine. Offering its readers tips, in-depth feature profiles, tournament coverage, humor, and product reviews, 5th Street will ride the rising popularity of poker.

ROI Media launched 5th Street with the January 2005 issue, and has selected ESP Computer Services to provide subscription fulfillment. Circulation Director Richard Price explains the critical considerations for this new client that led him to choose ESP:

"A fulfillment vendor is one of the most important partnerships that a new publisher makes in the launch phase. When choosing that partner for my client, 5th Street, I had to look at five factors:

1) Scalability. How could the vendor handle the large growth that we expect.

2) Internet capabilities. With much of our sourcing planned to come from various Web sites, could they handle the multiple online sources, track results and get prompt responses out to customers?

3) Value. Price is always a concern and being able to balance current price with future scalability is important.

4) Customer service. Any magazine’s contact with its readers primarily takes place through the fulfillment company. Therefore, it was very crucial to find a partner that I trusted with this valuable relationship.

5) Flexibility. My client is a relatively small publisher and I wanted to make sure that they had the ability to get things done. I didn’t want them to feel lost in the mix. Pairing up with a right-sized fulfillment partner was important.

When I looked at all of these factors and applied them to the fulfillment options out there, ESP stood out as the unique vendor, and having worked with Jack Miller’s team before, I felt very comfortable adding 5th Street to their client list."
